Storage Specialist

The Role

Interact with any actual or potential customer in professional manner.
Collect data and analyze information as they are provided by any means (tender documents, customer requirements, etc.).
Properly recognize projects and customers’ needs and document current state, as-is.
Design what to-be the goal objective of the project being implemented based on requirements and best practices available.
Properly arrange and guarantee list of materials and list of services based on design.
Provision migration plan, action plan and task lists as required.
Breakdown work structure and activities need to implement plans.
Implement work and coordinate with any side entity as a team, resulting in synergic team work.
Operate, troubleshoot, train on-job and handover resulted implementation.
Recognize and document (if required) assumptions, constrains, risks, problems and lessons learned in any aspect of above duties.

Specialized knowledge in storage and backup with working skills to:
• Design and work hands-on with HP, EMC, HDS, etc.
• Work with online storage (SAN, NAS, DAS),
• Work with offline storage (backup, archiving), remote and offsite data storage (DR).
• Incorporates storage techniques such as tiered or hierarchical storage, data de-duplication, storage virtualization, optimization, quota management, future capacity planning, and compliance with data retention and data protection regulations.
Ability to foresee and troubleshoot any risks and problems
Positive personal characteristics such as being honest, responsible, patient, etc
Related professional Certification is an advantage.

• Deliver IT Services Management solutions based on ITIL best practices.
• Oversee development of ITSM-based management processes and controls to ensure quality is maintained to meet business objectives.
• Provide process ownership through design, implementation and continuous improvement activities in the process life cycle.
• Review service metrics (KPIs) to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to ITSM services to improve metrics.
• Work with all functions within the IT community to ensure processes are executed as designed and measured accurately and completely.
• Provide regular reports on projects status, service performance, challenges and achievements.
• Manage day-to-day activities of ITIL processes.

• Responsible for designing, configuring, testing, implementing, administering and troubleshooting virtualization and cloud solutions in all types of production environments.
• Automate any and all operational works related to virtualized environments (bare metal to decommissioning).
• Build and maintain OS images along with associated automation, tooling and quality control Performance analysis and tuning of virtualized environments.
• Build detailed capacity plans for different virtualized environments.
• Measure, monitor and optimize hardware utilization.
• Document workflows, processes, procedures, and configurations and use cases of infrastructure.
